All of our creations are made with the intention to accompany you for a lifetime. They are artisan - made by loving hands and obviously still need to be kept clean.
In the following, we will be sharing our tips to keep your garments neat & tidy.
REBOZO
Rebozos are made out of hundreds of interwoven threads knotted in the tails to beautiful fringes. This makes them pretty delicate, and it is best to wash them by hand or on a slow/delicate program with a washing machine.
Other recommendations:
♡ If possible, best to not wash over 40 Degrees Celsius/ 104 Fahrenheit, although normal rebozos can handle also 60 Degrees Celsius / 140 Fahrenheit
♡ Use a mild (eco) soap for the washing process
♡ Wash in a laundry bag
♡ Tie fringes together (for ex. with a hair tie) to avoid tangling
♡ Never bleach or use bleach detergent to wash rebozo
♡ Preferably not tumble dry
♡ Dry in the shade
♡ Softly comb the fringes straight after drying - either with your hands or with a soft washing brush
NATURALLY DYED CLOTHES & REBOZOS
It is recommended to not overdo it when it comes to washing naturally dyed garments. An alternative to washing the whole piece could be to “spot clean”. For this, simply wet and clean the stain on your garment - not the whole piece.
You can also hang your clothes in the fresh air outdoors instead of washing them.
This will not only protect the color but is a kind act toward the environment ♡
Other than that, stick to the following instructions:
♡ Turn your clothes inside out before beginning the washing process
♡ Wash at 30 degrees / 86 Fahrenheit
♡ Use a PH neutral (+ eco-friendly) washing detergent
♡ Separate your laundry before washing! Never mix bright, dark, and light colors together.
♡ Preferably dry your clothes outside in the shade - sunlight fades the color faster
♡ You can hang dry or flat dry (please note the possibility of color leaking)
♡ In case you want to iron the cloth, do it damp on low
♡ If your item includes fringes, you can softly comb the fringes straight after drying - either with your hands or with a soft washing brush
FAJAS
Fajas can be washed just as a rebozo:
♡ Best to wash them by hand or on a slow/delicate program with a washing machine
♡ Best to not wash over 40 Degrees Celsius/ 104 Fahrenheit, although normal rebozos can handle also 60 Degrees Celsius / 140 Fahrenheit
♡ Use a mild (eco) soap for the washing process
♡ Wash in a laundry bag
♡ Tie fringes together (for ex. With a hair tie) to avoid tangling
♡ Never bleach or use bleach detergent to wash rebozo
♡ Preferably not tumble dry
♡ Dry in the shade
♡ Softly comb the fringes straight after drying - either with your hands or with a soft washing brush
CLOTHING
Our clothing lines that are not colored with eco-dye are a little bit more robust in the way you can handle them.
Nonetheless, all clothing can be treated in a way, so it lasts longer. Let us share a few simple steps that will aid in making your clothes look their best for longer.
♡ To avoid overwashing and thus shrinkage fading colored and losing its shape, check if the clothes really need a wash or are good for a day in the fresh air!
♡ Anything that contains wool needs to be hand washed or on a wool / cold program
♡ Turn clothing inside out before placing it in washing machine
♡ We recommend the use of a laundry bag
♡ Washing below the recommended temperature (40-60 Degrees Celsius/ 104 -140 Fahrenheit) will conserve your clothes longer
♡ Don't over or under fill your washing machine as it can damage your clothes, too
♡ Last but not least: air dry your clothes instead of using a dryer
♡ Dry in the shade
♡ Softly comb the fringes straight after drying - either with your hands or with a soft washing brush
